Location: Shelbyville, TN 37160

Hours: Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm, some flexibility is offered

Pay: $20 - $23/hr, some flexibility on pay is offered depending on experience

Position Summary

The HR Assistant provides administrative and operational support to the Human Resources team, with a strong focus on recruiting coordination, contingent workforce tracking, and onboarding. This role partners closely with hiring managers, staffing agencies, and the HR Manager to ensure efficient hiring processes and accurate workforce data management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with full-cycle recruiting activities, including reviewing requisitions, pre-screening applicants, and coordinating interview schedules
  • Schedule, confirm, and communicate interviews with hiring managers, candidates, and staffing agencies
  • Track and maintain contingent workforce data, including turnover, conversion hours, assignments, and reporting metrics
  • Review open positions and proactively notify staffing agencies of hiring needs, changes, and updates
  • Confirm start dates and coordinate pre-employment and onboarding activities for new hires
  • Support onboarding processes to ensure a smooth and compliant new-hire experience
  • Maintain accurate records and perform data entry within HR systems and tracking tools
  • Provide administrative support to the HR Manager, including ad-hoc reports, special projects, and process improvements as needed

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in HR, recruiting coordination, or administrative support preferred
  • Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with HR systems, spreadsheets, and data tracking tools
  • Strong communication and coordination skills
